Snake River Community Clinic is a nonprofit free clinic serving the Lewis-Clark Valley, Palouse, and surrounding rural communities. We provide compassionate, whole-person care for individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured and meet income guidelines (generally at or below 250% of the federal poverty level), including those with catastrophic coverage or who are waiting to establish care with a Medicaid/Medicare provider.
Our Mission:
We strive to bridge the gap in healthcare access by delivering quality whole-person healthcare for the underserved of the region.
Our Vision:
Health Equity.
Envision a community where every person has the opportunity to achieve their best whole-person health.
Services may include medical and dental care, integrated behavioral health, vision support, prescription medications, lab services, STI testing and treatment, and connections to free or reduced-cost imaging?along with practical resources like hygiene items, select over-the-counter medications, limited durable medical equipment, and prevention education.
Founded in 2000 by Glenn E. Jefferson, MD and Stamey English, MD, the clinic grew through the commitment of volunteer medical professionals and community supporters. Because we rely on volunteers and donations, the clinic operates variable hours 5 days a week for most of the year?together building the bridge to care.
