Shayne Watkins is a wildlife and western artist based in Deary, ID, specializing in bronze sculpture and scratchboard. He retired from a 27-year career as a forester, and is enjoying more free time to create art. Together with his wife, Alane, and their border collies, they maintain a rural lifestyle and cherish the seasonal challenges of tending a garden, a fruit orchard, pastures, and their timbered recreation property not far from town. Shayne is an Idaho native with a passion for the natural world. He gleans inspiration from his own outdoor experiences and his family?s heritage for creating his artwork in his home-based studio
