Help Wanted: Workforce Strategies to Transform Your Economy
Please join the Inland Northwest Partners next Thursday, November 21st from 8:30am – 2pm at the beautiful Hayden Lake Country Club for our 2013 Winter Meeting - “Help Wanted: Workforce Development Strategies to Transform Your Economy.”
Always engaging, Ron Nilson, CEO of Ground Force Worldwide, will be our keynote and discuss the importance of building strong workforce partnerships. Regional economists Alivia Metts, Idaho Department of Labor and Doug Tweedy, Washington State Employment Security, will help us better understand our regional labor markets, and provide some employment projections for the future.
Also joining us will be Dr. Christine Johnson, Chancellor of the Community Colleges of Spokane, who will challenge us about how we bridge the gaps in our workforce development efforts. And we’ll hear from Economic Modeling Specialists, Inc. and others about some workforce “best practices” in action from around the region and nationally.
Finally, we’ll recognize some individuals, communities and partnerships within the Inland Northwest with our Hometown Awards for promoting community economic development and making a difference.
