Event Description:
The Vandal Atmospheric Science Team (VAST) is the University of Idaho chapter of the Idaho RiSE (Research Involving Engineers and Educators) Program, which is part of the Idaho Space Grant Consortium. VAST partners include NASA Ames and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
VAST is a multidisciplinary project open to students of all class levels, and from any discipline. As part of their outreach program VAST participates with several local schools by assisting in on-going near-space learning projects at the High School level. The goal of the Idaho VAST project is to develop the capability to design, build, fly and recover high altitude science and engineering instrumentation.
The auction funds will directly benefit the VAST program and its continued work with area students on gaining experience with working on projects in the upper atmosphere.
