The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts presents Three Strikes to First, written by Quinn Hatch. Looking to escape a failing marriage, Matt, general manager for the Seattle Sun Dodgers, finds himself in Peoria, Ariz. He’s in town early putting the finishing touches on player contracts, but despite his effort, Matt’s varied past is difficult to dodge. A former player has received the publisher’s green light to write a book outlining steroid use on the team. Names will be revealed, and they include Matt’s star first baseman. The show plays 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31-Feb. 2 and Feb. 7-9 with matinees at 2 p.m. Feb. 3 and 10. All shows are held in the UI Hartung Theatre on the corner of Sixth Street and Stadium Drive. General admission is $10. Admission is free for UI students. Tickets are $8 for UI faculty and staff and WSU students. For tickets, call (208) 885-7212.
