Palouse Plein Air 2019 Reception and Awards Ceremony

Celebrate with the artists of Palouse Plein Air 2019 at the competition’s reception and awards ceremony on Friday, September 20 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Prichard Art Gallery. This year’s Palouse Plein Air guest juror, Scott Gellatly of Gamblin Paints, will adjudicate the exhibition, awarding cash prizes and recognition awards. Scott is a native resident of Oregon, where he currently lives with his wife and two sons. He is an artist and also works as a product manager for Gamblin Paints, a Portland-based maker of fine artist oils. The event will include refreshments provided by Bloom and coincides with a closing reception for the Zimoun exhibit at the Prichard Art Gallery. In a collaboration between the U of I College of Art and Architecture and the Lionel Hampton School of Music, students will perform a concert with invented instruments of their own creation inspired by the Zimoun exhibit. The Palouse Plein Air 2019 exhibition will run through Sunday, October 6.
