In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day area residents are encouraged to honor his memory by making the annual Day of Service a day on, not a day off by volunteering at local agencies. Consider saving a life by donating blood! Inland Northwest Blood Center is the only supplier of blood and blood products to area hospitals. Volunteer blood donors have the potential to save up to 3 lives with their blood donation. Make an appointment and find out more at www.inbcsaves.org or call 800-423-0151. Inland Northwest Blood Center needs 200 blood donors each day to maintain a safe supply of blood and blood products. Blood donation typically takes less than an hour and is a great opportunity to give back to the community by saving lives and pay tribute to Dr. King.
