Event Description:
Washington State University will host the first Humanitas Festival, a free and public celebration of world arts, Oct. 3, 4, and 5 on the WSU Pullman campus. Highlight performers are Ghanaian musicians Okaidja and Shókoto, performing at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening in WSU's Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall, and concerts in WSU's Beasley Coliseum by Step Afrika (7:30 p.m. Thursday) and Aché Brasil (7:30 p.m. Saturday). World music, dance, food, and fun will be the focus of Saturday's World Cougar Party and Outdoor Festival, scheduled to take place all afternoon on North Fairway Rd. in front of Beasley Coliseum. Highlights include two stages with continuous live music and entertainment, ethnic food concessions, beer garden, hands-on arts and crafts activities, prize drawings, and more.
