Event Description:
Each January, during Suits and Sneakers Awareness Week, basketball coaches trade in their dress shoes for sneakers to bring awareness to the fight for cancer. The Moscow Chamber will join our Vandal coaches by lacing up our sneakers for a workplace challenge.
DONATE: Provide your employees the opportunity to wear sneaker to work for a $5 donation.
WEAR SNEAKERS: On Friday, January 29, 2016, employees who donated get to wear their sneakers as a simple reminder for how healthy and active lifestyle can help prevent cancer.
The money will be donated to the Relay For Life of University of Idaho & Latah County to support the American Cancer Society's lifesaving work, like offering cancer patients a free place to stay when they have to travel away from home for treatment. Too many people, possibly including someone you or I know, will be diagnosed with cancer this year. This is our opportunity to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease.
University of Idaho Men's Basketball Vs. Portland State, Saturday, January 30 is when Coach Verlin and his coaching staff will be proudly wearing their sneakers to flght cancer and inspire hope.
