Soon-to-be novelists are invited to the Potlatch Public Library for National Novel Writing Month, fondly referred to as NaNoWriMo!
Beginning Writing: NaNoWriMo Kick-Off, a writing group, will meet for a brown bag lunch with Khaliela Wright, President of the Palouse Writers Guild. Khaliela will give an overview of getting started writing, resources for writers in our area, and other tips and tricks. Khaliela will hold a write-in workshop, Friday Night Writes, at the Potlatch Library each following Friday evening in November (8, 15, 22, 29) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
NaNoWriMo is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On Thursday, November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.
